It’s a family tradition to have fish on Friday. Fried catfish is an icon of southern eating. At my house, there is no other way to have catfish other than fried. A typical meal would be fried catfish fillets and whole small catfish, cabbage slaw, french fries, sweet onions and green tomatoes relish, hot sauce, tartar sauce, cornbread, syrup, sweet tea and bread pudding for dessert.
