The meat has been marinated; the BBQ sauces are ready  as soon as the charcoal turns gray the meat is going on the grill

Earlier I shared my Mustard BBQ sauce today I am sharing my Tomato Paste BBQ Sauce. If you can not decide which one you like, make them both.  Ingredients:  1 (4-ounce can) tomato paste, 1/4 cup vinegar, 1/4 cup vegetable oil, 1/4 cup butter, 3 teaspoons spicy ground mustard, 3 tablespoons dark brown sugar, 1/4 cup molasses, 2 1/4 teaspoon chili powder, 1 tablespoons granulated garlic,  1 teaspoon dried cumin, 1 (10-ounce pkg.) onion salad mix, 1 quart beef broth, 1/3 cup whiskey, 1 orange cut in half and seeded, 1/2 teaspoon cornstarch,1 cup pineapple juice

In a big pot add the 1st 14 ingredients.  Cook slowly. Stir constantly to ensure it doesn’t stick or burn for about one hour.  Taste, adjust seasoning until it is perfect for you.  In a bowl add the cornstarch and whiskey, whisk until smooth.  Add the remaining ingredients to the pot.  Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for another 45 minutes.

Everyone has a favorite homemade BBQ sauce; please share yours.  I am looking forward to trying some new sauces.
