Easy Breezy Copy Cat Biscuits

I had lunch at the Red Lobster earlier this week.  I love those Cheddar Bay Biscuits.  I had so many biscuits I brought the lunch I ordered home.  Here is my easy breezy Cheddar Cheese Copy Cat Biscuit recipe.

EASY BREEZY COPY CAT BISCUITS

5 cups self-rising flour, 2 cups buttermilk, 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese, 1/4 cup melted butter, 1 tablespoon sugar, 1/4 teaspoon cayenne. Preheat oven to 450 degrees.   In a large bowl combine,  all the ingredients mix until moist. A trick to test if the mixture is just right, stick a tablespoon in the bowl, if the spoon stands up straight in the bowl IT’S PERFECT!  With that same spoon scoop out a heaping measure of the dough onto an ungreased cookie sheet.  Put your biscuits in the oven.  Bake until the biscuits are lightly brown.  While the biscuits are baking make up the topping. When the biscuits come out the oven brush this mixture on top.  Ingredients:  3 tablespoons melted butter, 1 tablespoons fresh parsley chopped, 1/2 teaspoon granulated garlic.  Mix everything in a bowl.

What do you think about these cheddar cheese biscuits?  Do you have a biscuit recipe, please share it with us?
