Before the season is over, I want you to taste the most refreshing pico de gallo this side of Jupiter. This girl grew up in Pacoima, the land of dreams,  I know pico!

INGREDIENTS:  1 1/4 cup finely chopped purple onions, 2 finely chopped jalapeno peppers, 2 finely chopped serrano peppers,  3 key limes, juiced and zested, 2 cups firm yellow and red tomatoes, seeded and chopped, 1 1/4 cups fresh chopped cilantro, 2 cups fresh chopped seeded watermelon,  2 medium chopped avocado, 1/2 pound salad shrimp, 1/2 teaspoon granulated garlic,1 1/2 teaspoon seasoning salt, 1/4 teaspoon black pepper.

First things first, in a bowl mix the onions, peppers, including seeds, and lime juice.  You want to bring out all the flavor of this mixture, so you are going to marinade them for at least 15 minutes. Now you are going to dump all the remaining ingredient into the bowl with your onions and peppers, mix well. Chill and allow to marinade for 20 minutes before serving. Before you serve drain any excess liquid that has accumulated in the bowl.

What you have now is the best pico this side of Jupiter.  Serve with corn chips
