1 1/2 cup light brown sugar, 3 cups pecans, chopped and toasted, 2 cups sugar, 4 tablespoons salted butter, 1 cup evaporated milk, 2 teaspoons vanilla extract.
In a saucepan combine the sugar and milk. As crazy as this miht sound, please use a wooden spoon. Cook over a low heat until the sugar dissolves. Remove from the heat. Add remaining ingredients stir till the mixture thickens again. Move quickly!! Drop a heaping tablespoon of the mixture onto a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil. Make sure you allow 4 inches between every ball for the candy to spread.
