Let’s get some beef shanks moist and tender in less than 30-minutes. Beef bones are rich in bone marrow. Bone marrow can add that over the top flavor and body to your stock.
4 pounds beef shank, 3 tablespoons vegetable oil, 2 tablespoons flour, 2 minced garlic cloves, 1 medium diced yellow onion, 3 cups of your favorite prepared BBQ sauce, 1 cup prepared beef broth, 2 tablespoons creole seasoning salt, 2 teaspoons granulated garlic, 2 teaspoons seasoning salt, 1 teaspoon pepper, 1 envelope onion soup mix.
In a bowl, mix together the onion soup mix, flour, seasoning salt, pepper, and granulated garlic mix well. Drizzle 1 tablespoon of the oil on the meat, generously rub the soup mixture on the meat. Get out the pressure cooker. With the lid off, add the remaining oil into the pot, heat to high. Drop the meat into the pressure cooker and cook on all sides until the meat is seared and brown, this process takes about 5 minutes. Add the remaining ingredients into the pot. Secure the top push 20 minutes to cook on high. Allow the pressure to release naturally while you prepare the rest of the meal. I recommend steamable green beans, a beautiful toss salad, steamed rice and a package of prepared rolls.
