This morning we are going to have egg pie. 2 heaping tablespoons breakfast sausage, 24 saltine crackers, 6 large eggs, 1 cup cream of mushroom soup, 1/2 cup sharp cheddar cheese, grated, 1/8 teaspoon seasoning salt, 1/8 teaspoon white pepper, 1/8 teaspoon granulated garlic. Crush crackers with a rolling pin set aside. In a heavy skillet cook the sausage until brown. In a bowl beat the eggs, add the crackers and cheese. Pour the egg mixture into the skillet with the sausage, stir together. Bake for at 350 degrees for about 15 minutes or until a case knife inserted into the middle of the skillet comes out clean. Cut into wedges and serve with a dollop of sour cream and chopped parsley.
I served this dish to my granddaughter. She said grandma this is delicious, all it needs is some catsup. I frowned and handed her the catsup.
