If you see a fat man, who’s jolly and cute, wearing a beard and a red flannel suit; And if he is chuckling and laughing away, while flying around in a miniature sleigh; With eight tiny reindeer to pull him along; Then – let’s face it – Your eggnog’s too strong!!
MY HOLIDAY EGGNOG
My Eggnog is made with whiskey rather than brandy. According to Fred Minnick, author of Whiskey Women, women represent thirty-seven percent (37%) of whiskey imbibers in the United States. Raise your hand if you are among that thirty-seven percent (37%).
6 large eggs, 3/4 cup sugar, 1/8 teaspoon salt, 2 teaspoons vanilla extract, 1-pint heavy whipping cream, 2 cups whole milk, 1/2 pint whiskey, sprinkle with mace. Mix eggs, and sugar in a heavy pan. Gradually stir in milk. Cook over a low heat for approximately 15-20 minutes or until the mixture coats a metal spoon. Add salt. Remove from heat. Stir in vanilla and whiskey. Cover and refrigerate until cool.
