Money is slang for cabbage
1 medium head of cabbage, equals about 6 cups cabbage, cored and chopped, 1/2 cup carrots, shredded, 1 pound ground turkey, 1/2 pound ground chicken, 3 hard-boiled eggs, chopped, 1/4 cup butter, 3/4 cup yellow onions, diced, 1 cup cheddar cheese, grated, 1/4 cup green bell pepper, 1/4 cup red bell pepper, chopped, 2 garlic cloves, minced.
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Get out your cast iron skillet, melt the butter add the onions bell pepper, and carrots, saute until the onions are clear. Add the cabbage and continue to stir until the cabbage is tender but still crisp. Salt and pepper to taste. Evenly pour the cabbage mixture into a baking dish. Add the boiled eggs, lightly sprinkle salt, pepper, and cayenne on top. In the same skillet add the turkey and chicken, cook on medium heat until the meat is no longer pink, add salt, pepper, and minced garlic to taste. Evenly spread the meat on top of the cabbage mixture. Evenly layer the cheese on top of the meat, set aside. Make up the cornbread mix according to the package directions, then pour it over the cheese. Bake for 40-45 minutes or until the cornbread is golden brown. When you remove the pie from the oven add a couple of teaspoons of grated cheese on top.
Serve the dish with a beet salad and a chilled glass of Sauvignon Blanc.
