I have absolutely no idea why this dish is called BBQ, especially since they are not, these shrimp are sautéed.
1 pound unsalted butter, 1/2 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce, 1 1/2 tablespoons cayenne, 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning salt, 1 1/4 tablespoons chicken flavored bouillon, 1/2 tablespoon black pepper, 1 teaspoon onion powder, 1 teaspoon smoked paprika, 2 tablespoons granulated garlic, 1/2 tablespoon ancho chili powder, 1teaspoon ground cumin, 1 teaspoon dried rosemary, 1 tablespoon chopped fresh thyme, 2 teaspoons sugar, 6 chopped garlic cloves, 2 bay leaves, 2 lemons, 1/2 cup dark beer, 3 pounds head and shell on jumbo shrimp, 1 bunch chopped green onions.
Devein shrimp. BBQ shrimp is served with the heads, shells, and tails on. In a bowl stir together the Worcestershire sauce, cayenne, salt, bouillon, black pepper, onion powder, paprika, garlic, chili powder, cumin, rosemary, thyme, garlic cloves, sugar, and beer, mix well and set aside. Melt butter in a skillet, I always use a wooden spoon. The importance of the wooden spoon is my Grandmother said to use a wooden spoon! Add the beer, Worcestershire sauce, cayenne, salt, bouillon, black pepper, onion powder, paprika, garlic, chili powder, cumin, rosemary, thyme, garlic cloves, and sugar to the pot. Grate the lemon peel for zest cut the lemons in half, squeeze the lemon into your hand to make sure the seeds do not go into the pot. Discard the seeds drop the lemons into the pot. Bring to a boil, reduce heat to a simmer. Drop in the shrimp cook until the shrimp shells turn orange. Taste before serving, salt, and pepper to taste. Pour some shrimp onto a plate, sprinkle with the green onions.
