BROTHER BREAD

uncle-floyd
I would like to introduce you to my brother Floyd with the glass, my grandson Brit and my niece Lexie

My brother Floyd drinks a couple of beers a day. He says drinking beer is his humanitarian contribution to the world, he saves water for the rest of us. We all need to thank my caring and thoughtful brother today for his charitable contributions!

BROTHER BREAD

3 cups self-rising flour, 2 1/4 tablespoons raw sugar, 1 (12-ounce) bottle dark, 1/4 cup chopped walnuts, 1 cup butter, melted, 1/4 cup raw honey, 1/4 cup chopped cranberries.

In a bowl dump the flour and sugar, thoroughly mix with a whisk.  Slowly add the beer mix well.  Pour the batter into a greased and floured pound cake pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes, remove from the oven, pour 3/4 cup of butter on top. Return to the oven and cook for another 20-25 minutes.   To check doneness insert a case knife if it comes out clean the bread is done. Allow to cool for about 10-minutes, turn out of the pan. In a bowl add the cranberries, nuts with the remaining butter, pour over the warm bread.  It’s now ready to serve.
