PIE CRUST

2 cups all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon salt, 3/4 cup cold butter flavored shortening, 1/3 cup ice cold milk.

Get out a bowl, sift the flour at least 3 times, measure and add 2 cups of flour to the bowl.  add the salt and mix well.  Add the shortening and cut into the flour with a fork or a pastry cutter until the flour mixture is crumbly.  Gradually add the iced milk 1 teaspoon at a time.  Continue to add the milk and mix until the flour mixture forms a ball. Transfer the flour mixture onto a sheet of plastic wrap, refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.  This is enough to make 2 (8-inch) pie crust.  When you are ready to prepare, divide dough into 2 portions.   Roll out the pie crust between wax paper.  Measure the size of your crust with the pie pan on top.
