In the last twelve months, I have gained 20-pounds. For the last two months, I have been talking about how I am going to lose and keep the weight off. Today I am through talking about it I am starting my weight loss program. Are any of y’all ready to join me? I currently weigh 198 pounds. I am 5′ 9″. My ideal weight is 175 pounds.
I am going on a “Ketogenic Diet”. The basic premise of this plan is high-fat, adequate protein and low carbohydrate. This diet plan forces your body to burn fat rather than carbohydrates.
I am going back to all the old recipes I have posted and make them keto friendly plates and servings. The amount of fat in this diet will minimize your carbohydrate craving and give you energy while suppressing that feeling of hunger.
Tomorrow, I am posting an old recipe, shrimp and grits. The difference is instead of yellow grits I am serving cheesy cauliflower. The meal is shrimp and cheesy cauliflower, tomato, cucumber, and red onion salad with a vinaigrette dressing and lots of water.
