PORCUPINE MEATBALL

3/4 pound ground turkey, 1/4 pound ground veal, 1/4 ground chicken, 2 teaspoons butter flavored shortening, melted, 1 tablespoon minced garlic, 3/4 cup chopped white onions, 1/8 cup red bell pepper, chopped, 1 celery stalk, chopped, 1/2 cup Jasmine rice, uncooked, 1/2 cup crackers crumbs, 1 large egg, beaten, 1 1/4 teaspoon chicken bouillon, 1/2 teaspoon black pepper, 2 teaspoon granulated garlic, 1 cup commercial BBQ sauce, 1/4 cup chicken broth, cocktail sticks.

Get out a large bowl, add the meats to the bowl and mix well.  Add the minced garlic, rice, cracker crumbs, egg, chicken bouillon, black pepper, mix well, set aside. Get out a skillet, add shortening, when the shortening melts add the onions, celery, and bell pepper saute until the onions are translucent. Add the onion mixture to the bowl of meats,  mix well.  Scoop out a tablespoon of meat, roll into a ball the size of a golf ball. Place the meatballs into casserole dish.  In a pitcher add the BBQ sauce and chicken broth, mix well, pour over the meatballs.  Cover with foil and bake for 45-60 minutes.  Remove from the oven, place on a platter, insert the sticks and serve.
