RICE WATER

Drink at least one cup of rice water every day. The simple ingredients of rice and water will give you more energy cause you to have healthy skin, very shiny hair, and this simple effective ingredient can also relieve constipation and it’s delicious.

RICE WATER

/2 teaspoon salted butter, 1/2 teaspoon vegetable oil, 2 cups rice, 6 cups water, 1/2 cup raw cane sugar, 1/2 cup raw honey, 2 1/2 tablespoons vanilla extract, and 1 cinnamon stick.

If you want to have authentic Southern Louisiana rice water follow these directions to a T!  In a heavy 2 quart pot melt the butter and vegetable oil. Gradually add the rice, using a wooden spoon you’re now going to start to stir the rice and oils together. When the rice starts to brown add 4 cups of the water do not stir, add the cinnamon stick put the top on the rice, turn the flame down to the lowest temperature and cook until all the water is absorbed, this should take 10 – 12 minutes. Remove from the heat and scoop the rice into the bender, add the remaining  2 cups of water. Blend until the rice is velvety smooth, now add the remaining ingredients. Strain through a piece of cheesecloth, pour into a glass container and refrigerate serve cold.

    1. I have been told rice water help grow your hair as a kid. I recently google the benefits of rice water. Some of the listed benefits of rice water are growing hair, a natural antioxidant, and reduces the appearances of facial pores.
