GRAPE NUT BREAD
1/2 cup grape nut cereal, 1 cup low-fat buttermilk, 1 cup sugar, 1 egg, beaten, 2 cups flour, 1 teaspoon baking soda, 2 teaspoons baking powder, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 2 1/2 teaspoon vegetable oil, 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
Add the buttermilk to a cup and heat in the microwave for 2 minutes. Get out a bowl, add the cereal to the bowl, pour the milk over the cereal along with the sugar, stir well set aside for 20-25 minutes. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 9×5 loaf pan set aside. Add the egg, flour, baking soda, baking powder salt, vegetable oil, and nuts to the cereal mixture, mix well. Pour into the loaf pan, set aside for about 10-15 minutes. Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until a case knife inserted into the center of the loaf comes out clean.
