TUNA NOODLE CASSEROLE

Today my granddaughter Alahna turns 13 years old.  She has requested a Tuna Noodle Casserole for her birthday dinner.  Please join me in wishing my baby the big 13th HAPPY BIRTHDAY.

1 (12 oz.) wide egg noodles, 1 (10.5 oz.) can cream of mushroom soup, 2 (6 oz.) cans albacore tuna, drained, 1/2 teaspoon granulated garlic, 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme, 1/4 teaspoon black pepper, 1 stalked celery, chopped, 1/2 small onion, chopped, 1/2 cup frozen English green peas, 2 cups grated cheddar cheese, crumbled potato chips

Cook the noodles according to the package directions.  Remove from the heat drain set aside. Lightly grease a casserole dish with butter.  Dump the noodles in a bowl, add the tuna, garlic, salt, pepper, thyme, onions, and peas, mix well. Taste. Pour the noodle mixture into the casserole dish. Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes.  Remove from the oven, top with the cheese.  When the cheese is melted and bubbly remove from the oven add the chips.  Return to the oven continue to bake until the chips are browned.
