TURNIP ROOT FU-FU TWIST

turnips

Turnips are root vegetables.  Root vegetables are high in nutrition and low in calories. According to my Grandma, if you see or if you are eating turnips in a dream, you will be able to settle some current problems in your life, and the vision is also symbolic of fortune, success, and sympathy for others.

TURNIP FU-FU TWIST

2 pounds turnip roots, 1 tablespoons bacon fat, 2 tablespoons butter, 1 teaspoon salt,  2 tablespoons raw honey, garnish with chopped flat-leaf parsley.

Peel turnips, thinly slice.  Get out a heavy skillet, add the bacon fat and butter. Cook the turnip roots for 1-2 minutes on each side or until tender on medium-high heat. Sprinkle the salt on top. Taste.  Remove the turnips from the skillet, dump onto a platter, drizzle with honey and garnish with parsley.
