UNCLE FLOYD BEER BREAD

My brother Floyd drinks at least one beer every day.  He drinks beer because he is a humanitarian.  Drinking beer is how he contributes to the world; he is saving water for the rest of us. I am thanking my brother today for his charitable contributions.

UNCLE FLOYD BEER BREAD

3 cups self-rising flour,  1/4 tablespoon raw sugar, 1 (12-ounce) can beer, 3/4 cup butter, melted, 1/4 cup chopped walnuts, 1/4 cup raw honey, 1/4 cup chopped cranberries.

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.  In a bowl, dump the flour and sugar, thoroughly mix. Slowly add the beer mix well.  Pour the batter into a greased and floured pound cake pan.  Bake for 30 minutes, remove from the oven pour 1/2 cup of butter on top. Return to the oven and cook for another 20-25 minutes.   To check doneness insert a butter knife into the center of the bread; if it comes out clean, the bread is done. Allow to cool for about 10-minutes, turn the bread out of the pan. Mix the cranberries and nuts with the remaining butter, pour over the warm bread.
