Ash Wednesday is a holy day of repentance where some Christians confess their sins and profess their devotion to God. Ash Wednesday is the first day of Lent. Today some Christians will confess and prepare their Lenten sacrifice. The sacrifice is something you will not do or partake in until Easter.

TUNA NOODLE CASSEROLE
1 (12 oz.) wide egg noodles, 1 (10.5 oz.) can cream of mushroom soup, 2 (6 oz.) cans albacore tuna, drained, 1/2 teaspoon granulated garlic, 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme, 1/4 teaspoon black pepper, 1 stalked celery, chopped, 1/2 small onion, chopped, 1/2 cup frozen English green peas, 1/2 cup frozen broccoli, 2 cups grated cheddar cheese, crumbled potato chips
Cook the noodles according to the package directions. Remove from the heat drain set aside. Lightly grease a casserole dish with butter. Dump the noodles in a bowl, add the tuna, garlic, salt, pepper, thyme, onions, broccoli, and peas, mix well. Taste. Pour the noodle mixture into the casserole dish. Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes. Remove from the oven, top with the cheese. When the cheese is melted and bubbly remove from the oven add the chips. Return to the oven turn the temperature to broil until the chips are browned.
