Green Bean Almondine

The best tasting Green Bean Almondine you have ever tasted in less than 30-minutes

1 cup slivered almonds, toasted, 1 tablespoon minced garlic, 3 tablespoons diced white onions, 2 tablespoons butter, 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice, 1 (16 oz.) package frozen french cut green beans, 1 1/2 tablespoons lemon zest.

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Add the almonds, single layer, to a cookie sheet.  Bake until you can smell them, remove from the oven, toss and set aside. Get out a skillet, add the butter, cook on medium heat.  When the butter melts add the onionsand saute till the onions are transulcant, add the garlic and cook for another minute.  Add the almonds, and lemon juice mix well and set aside. Cook the beans according to the package directions.  Drain the beans, add the onion mixture from the skillet, and toss.   Make sure the beans are fully coated, taste, add salt and pepper as needed.  Pour the beans onto a serving bowl or a platter, evenly sprinkle the lemon zest on top and serve.
